Can I buy as a consumer?
No. CVD Diamond Inc sells wholesale to the trade: jewelers, retailers and manufacturers.

About lab grown diamonds
Are lab grown diamonds real diamonds?
Yes. Lab grown diamonds are genuine diamonds. Both natural diamonds and lab grown diamonds have identical chemical, physical, and optical characteristics. It is impossible to distinguish lab grown diamonds from natural diamonds with the naked eye. Only jewelry experts using specialized instruments can distinguish them.
How are they different from mined diamonds?
The only difference is their source. Lab grown diamonds are manufactured by simulating the conditions that create natural diamonds, resulting in the same crystalline structure. Both are made of pure carbon and both may have inclusions and flaws.
Are lab grown diamonds good value?
Yes. Aside from having quality levels that approach the best natural diamonds in the market, they are more affordable than natural diamonds of the same size and quality.
What type of diamonds do you sell?
All of our CVD diamonds are Type IIA and non-fluorescent. Type IIA make up only 1-2% of all mined diamonds.
Grading and certificates
How are lab grown diamonds graded?
The same way as natural diamonds: by cut, clarity, carat and color.
Which labs grade your certified stones?
Certified stones are graded by IGI or GIA. Each comes with its report and a matching laser inscription.
What is the difference between certified and non-certified?
The certification. Each diamond we produce goes through exactly the same process, including quality controls. Certified diamonds are also sent to an independent gem lab, and each one carries a certificate with its grade, which makes them more expensive than non-certified diamonds.
Are non-certified diamonds lower quality?
No. All lab grown diamonds we manufacture go through the same manufacturing process and quality control, including cutting, and we only sell Type IIA diamonds.
Melee
What affects the price of melee?
Like natural diamonds, the price of lab grown melee is affected by size, cut and the 4 C’s. It is less than half the price of natural diamonds of the same size and quality.
Do you sell uncut melee?
No. All lab grown diamonds we sell wholesale are sold cut. Each piece is held to the same high standard, including its cutting.
