Lab Grown Diamonds are Genuine Diamonds

Lab Grown Diamonds Information

The Federal Trade Commission has ruled that a diamond is a diamond, no matter if it’s grown or mined.

“No matter where they come from or how they are grown, a diamond is a diamond. And it will be nice to see more consumers enjoying the beauty and brilliance of these sparkling gemstones… Jewelry retailers should be rejoicing. More diamonds for the masses.”

— PAMELA N. DANZIGER, FORBES MAGAZINE

CVD DIAMONDS ARE GENUINE DIAMONDS

Lab Grown Diamonds Versus Mined Diamonds

CVD DIAMONDS ARE CHEMICALLY, PHYSICALLY, AND OPTICALLY IDENTICAL TO MINED DIAMONDS. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THE POINT OF ORIGIN.

All Our Lab Grown Diamonds are Type IIA Diamonds

Both sought after and extremely rare, Type IIA diamonds used to be reserved for only the wealthiest and only make up 1-2% of all mined diamonds. Many famous diamonds in the world are Type IIA, including the Culling, Koh-I-Noor and Lesedi La Rona. However, all of our CVD diamonds are Type IIA and non-fluorescent, giving them an exclusivity seldom found when buying mined diamonds.

What Makes Lab Grown Diamonds Unique?

One of the biggest reservations people have when considering grown diamonds is that they’re not unique. They worry they are clones or copies of each other making every one of them completely identical and unoriginal. This myth could not be further from the truth.

When you plant a tree, you know roughly what shape it will be and what size and shade it will become. However, you never know what direction the branches will grow. You can be assured that although the tree may be similar to others, it would be impossible for it to be the same exact copy of any other in the world. The same is true for lab diamonds.

How are Lab Grown Diamonds Graded

There is a tried and true method when it comes to grading & appraising diamonds know as the 4 C’s.
The 4 C’s are: Carat • Clarity • Color • Cut
